Three Months

Little Levi turned three months old!  Time is starting to go quicker..and from what I understand it only goes faster from here.  I think I'm ok with our little boy growing, but its already very strange to look back to his first few days and how small he was just three short months ago.

Our little toots is letting us in on his personality more and more.  He is continuing to become more interactive and more fun.  He is learning to use his hands more - he can grasp some toys (which he almost instantly pulls to his mouth), and he likes touching and holding our hands if we leave them in front of him or on him.  He likes being able to make his toys make the crinkle sound, and he seems to prefer putting soft things in his mouth rather than typical teething toys.

We also have quite the chatterbox on our hands.  Levi still speaks whale but will respond more to us when we try to have a conversation with him.  We think we will give him credit for his first words being 'oh my' which he "spoke" a couple weeks ago (video proof is available).  However, he is rather shy when someone other than mom or dad is listening.  We have also started to read stories to him and he generally either listens attentively or talks all the way through :). He has been sleeping well overnight - usually a stretch of 12 or 13 hours sometimes with a wakeup in the middle and sometimes not.  We're still learning to be more disciplined in putting him to bed earlier to help him sleep better.

We'll spare you the details but he continues to spill out of at least one diaper a day.  We're pretty sure we know how to put diapers on correctly, but for some reason he finds a way to keep us wondering on a day by day basis.  You would also think he is eating solid food by the way he smells..

We are just so in love with this little boy!

And one final picture just for memories: this is the last belly picture we took before Levi was born - crazy!

Casen Isaiah

Peter and Kelli welcomed Casen Isaiah into the world on February 15th!  I was going to wait to post about him until after we get to meet him in person, but I decided I didn't want to wait that long.  We will be sure to post lots of pictures with him when we meet him in a couple weeks!

Casen weighed in at 9 pounds 2 ounces and is a big bundle of love :).  Sometimes he looks just like his adorable mom and other times I see all his dad.  If you want to see him (which I'm sure you do!), you can check out Kelli and Peter's blog.

Casen, we can't wait to come love on you and introduce you to your lifelong friend in Levi!

Valentine's Day and Some Firsts

Just a short and sweet post to show some super cute pictures of our Valentine!  We had so much fun getting our little boy dressed in red and taking some pictures to celebrate Valentine's Day!

Little toes peeking out:

Mom and Dad make such funny faces at me:

Are we almost done?

 The culprit of those kisses:

Happy Valentine's Day! Love, Little Levi xoxo

Also, we recently had a couple firsts!  Levi went out to eat with us for the first time.  Here we are at Panera:

And, he watched Dad play in a volleyball game for the first time!  Little does he know that there will be much of this in the future :)

Before we know it Levi will be out there playing too!

Levi's first Sunday at church (he slept through the whole thing):

Excited for his next "firsts!"  We almost have a roller!

Roadtrip to Delaware

Levi got to go on his first roadtrip!  A few weeks ago we headed down to Delaware for the first time with little Levi.  Kristin, Clay's and my sister in law, was having a surprise birthday party thrown for her and we decided it would be fun to join in.  Also, with me not working and Clay working from home, we're not as limited to which days we can take off.

We left around 9:00PM Thursday evening because of course a snowstorm was scheduled to hit early Friday morning.  This put us in around 2:30AM, but it actually worked rather well for Levi and me.  Clay got the worst of it having to drive, but it made it easier on us for Levi to pretty much sleep the whole way down.  I get anxious with all of Levi's "firsts" - like his first roadtrip and how its going to go, but I know we just have to pick up and do it..thats what I'm telling myself with our upcoming roadtrip to Illinois ;).

Overall, we had a great time visiting with family and introducing Levi to several friends!  He held up pretty well all weekend being out of his normal surroundings.  The surprise party was Friday night so we had Friday during the day to hang out around Patty and Stu's.  Auntie Amanda was sweet enough to drive up to visit us and meet little Levi:

She and Brandon will be having a little boy of their own this July!  I can't wait to meet Levi's little pal!  I suppose I should also include that Levi decided he wanted to poop in the bathtub while Amanda was visiting.  Her nurse instincts kicked right in while Clay and I were a bit grossed out.

Friday night we headed to the surprise party; we actually missed the surprise part but oh well (we're still learning how to balance Levi's needs with timed events).  Levi got to meet a lot of new people including Dian!  Here he is rocking his jeans and plaid for the party with her:

Saturday we stayed around the house.  I'm sure Nana and Poppop were pleased with that :).  Chase and Amber came over to meet Levi and visit for a while:

Chase and Levi had a stare down:

Sunday morning we headed to church and almost made it on time.  Levi talked through some of the sermon and slept through the rest..but not before filling his diaper.  We're just hoping the people behind us didn't hear him :).  After church Daniel and Crissy came by and got to meet Levi too:

Somehow we didn't get a picture with Crissy!  They will be welcoming a new little bundle of joy this July as well!  Levi is going to have so many new friends!

The weekend wrapped up with family time and the cousins got to spend some time together.  Addie seemed to like the idea of meeting Levi, but hopefully Levi will become more social in the future :).

Cousins in their PJ's:

And, we finally got a group picture of the 8 of us!

We had a really nice weekend and are glad that Levi got to meet so many new people!  Miss you already Nana and Poppop!
